Health and Wellbeing Qld

Welcome to the Health and Wellbeing Queensland (HWQld) online grant application portal.

Health and Wellbeing Queensland (HWQld) was established in July 2019 under the Health and Wellbeing Queensland Act 2019 (HWQld Act), to improve the health and wellbeing of all Queenslanders and reduce health inequities.

As Queensland's first dedicated public health authority our role is to improve the long-term health for Queenslanders. Sustained investment in prevention and public health is needed to address the prevalence of chronic disease, improve wellbeing, stem growing health costs and disrupt cycles of disadvantage. HWQld is focusing on nutrition, physical activity and wellbeing to demonstrate the positive impacts prevention and strong public health can have on the population.

The HWQld Grants Program offers four different funding schemes that will contribute towards supporting the health, wellbeing and resilience of our diverse communities. The grant rounds that will be on offer in 2023 are:

  • GenQ Health and Wellbeing Community Grants Scheme
  • GenQ Health and Wellbeing Impact Grants Scheme
  • Health and Wellbeing Translational Grant Scheme
  • Health and Wellbeing PhD Top-up Scholarships

For information about any of these schemes, access to guidelines and resources, please visit the HWQld Grants and Funding webpage.
